organisations' external website. This year the Partnership has
chosen three priority issues to tackle by listening to the views of
residents and conducting detailed analysis into crime figures
throughout the Havant Borough. The three priorities are:
Anti-social behaviour, including litter, rowdy groups and noisy
motorbikes.
In a recent survey local residents told the
Safer Havant Partnership that anti-social behaviour, including
litter, vandalism and flytipping could be a nuisance in their local
area. The Safer Havant Partnership has listened to the views
of local residents and will be taking action against anti-social
behaviour in the year ahead.
Inspector Rob Mitchell of Havant Police
commented ‘We recognise that anti-social behaviour can play a major
part in affecting the quality of life of our residents. Within
Havant we work with our partners all year round to reduce incidents
of anti-social behaviour and know our priority areas through
listening to community feedback.’

Violence, particularly domestic abuse and assault
Whether it occurs in public or in private,
violence is unacceptable and we are determined to do all we can to
prevent it. Although there has been a reduction in assaults
in the Havant Borough over the last year, the Safer Havant
Partnership recognises that any form of violence has a significant
impact on victims, families and communities as a whole. The
Safer Havant Partnership is also committed to reducing domestic
abuse in the Havant Borough and the harm it causes to those who
suffer.

The impact that alcohol has on crime and anti-social
behaviour.
The Safer Havant Partnership will be focusing
on the issue of alcohol misuse and related anti-social behaviour in
the year ahead. The Safer Havant Partnership also recognises
the link between alcohol and domestic violence and fights in
public.
